Van Den Berg Seeds B.V. declares that all varieties developed by Van Den Berg Seeds BV are obtained through classical breeding methods, without using genetic engineering techniques that lead to genetically modified organisms covered by Directive 2001/18/EC * on the deliberate release of genetically modified organisms into the environment, applies.

This statement applies to all varieties of Van Den Berg Seeds B.V. and VDB ProSeeds that are or will be traded in the future.

* Directive 2001/18/EC:” Genetically modified organism (GMO) ‘means an organism, with the exception of human beings, in which the genetic material has been altered in a way which is not naturally possible by mating and / or natural recombination.
