LONG VIOLET F1 is a strong hybrid with plants producing very uniform fruits of about 24 cm long and with a diameter of ca. 6 cm. Ideal for slicing and the kitchen.

The attractive and shiney fruits are of a very dark and even violet colour, nearly black and without any blotch or stripes. The fairly large leaves give a good cover of the fruit. Production of fruit starts about ten weeks after planting, depending on weather conditions.

Best results when growing under glass or plastic or in tunnels. Growing aubergines in the open air is only recommended in warmer climates and starting the young plants under protecting cover.
